The Role We’re on the lookout for a Treasury and Banking Analyst to join our Treasury team in a newly created position. You’ll work closely with the Deputy Treasurer and Treasurer to manage daily banking approvals, support credit policy changes, and help drive process improvements across the board. If you love digging into data, spotting risks before they become problems, and making things run smoother - we’d love to hear from you. Banking Approvals: Manage and improve daily banking approval processes to boost accuracy and turnaround times. Credit Policy & Contracts: Support credit policy and contract changes, ensuring approvals are delivered on time and aligned with procedures. Risk Management: Help embed a strong risk and control culture within the Treasury team, with regular testing and documentation. Business Support: Provide support across ANZ mortgage and asset finance lending, including Treasury inputs, KYC, purchase orders, and producing investor presentations packs. Data & Reporting: Scope and implement new data requirements to improve Treasury reporting accuracy and timeliness. Deal Forecasting: Play a proactive role in scheduling new deals and maintaining the Treasury funding plan. Process Improvement & Automation: Identify and execute opportunities for automation and efficiency - including using AI tools - and share ideas across the business. About you We’re looking for someone who understands the numbers and is not afraid to question something when it doesn’t look quite right. Here are some of the things were looking for: Education: A degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field. Experience: At least 3 years in a similar role (e.g. rating agency, trustee company). Experience in corporate or bank Treasury, securitisation, or financial markets is a bonus. Skills & Mindset: Strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. Analytical mindset: You enjoying diving into data in excel and other platforms, you can spot patterns and use them to make informed decisions and generate action. Risk awareness: You’ve proved that you understand the important of controls and risk management, and you’re proactive about identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
