Benefits Flexible remote work opportunity Quarterly site visits with accommodation provided Duties Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports at the end of each month Collaborate closely with the Deputy CEO to support budget planning, mid-year reviews, and end-of-year financial reporting Act as the primary contact for external auditors, addressing any audit queries promptly and thoroughly Oversee all tasks related to council rates, including handling enquiries, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and managing debt recovery Monitor and promote the efficient allocation and use of Council resources Work autonomously, managing responsibilities with minimal supervision Skills & experience Relevant qualifications in in accounting, business, or related field Experience in local government finance preferable 3-4 years in accounting and financial reporting Ability to critically analyse data and provide clear financial advice Strong communication and team supervision skills Location requirement: Applicants must be based in Western Australia, ideally within or near Perth, to support quarterly site visits.
