Connect People are seeking a Safety Coordinator/Officer for an immediate start in immediate start in Carrington, Newcastle . Our client is a leading infrastructure services company operating across Australia and New Zealand, delivering projects in telecommunications, infrastructure, education, and defence with a strong focus on safety, innovation, and community impact. Key roles and responsibilities: Conduct morning site visits, inspections, and audits, documenting findings with photographs and supporting reports. Manage email administration and maintain accurate compliance and inspection records. Monitor and update training data in Power BI and SuccessFactors, including rebooking and tracking completions. Assist with onboarding, inductions, incident reporting, and investigations. Support SHEQ reporting, safety communications, and compliance with risk and HSE management systems. What's on offer: Pay rate: $40-$45 p/h Contract length: 29/10/2025 - 31/12/2025 Monday - Friday with varying start times (between 6am-9am). 8 hour days. Key requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in a WHS-related role and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety highly regarded. Confident collaborating with all levels of staff and management, including SHEQ and RTW teams. Organised, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure in a changing environment. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a proactive, inquisitive mindset.
