A fantastic opportunity has risen for an Electrical and Controls Engineer to join our Energy Solutions team. Based in Melbourne, You will provide engineering support to the project delivery team and sales representatives , remotely or at customer sites as required. Energy Solutions supplies energy storage, microgrid solutions, generator sets for continuous power, prime power, emergency standby power, and mobile applications, as well as efficiency-optimising solutions that integrate cogeneration systems. In this role you will: Produce technical drawings, calculations, functional specifications, and reports to assist project managers for the delivery of the projects. Liase with internal and external project stakeholders during the design and delivery stages of the project. , Provide commissioning support when required to the commissioning team for delivering the project successfully and timely manner. Work with the sales team to support correct application of product in tenders Review supplier and subcontractor submissions/quotations to ensure specification compliance Assist with selection of suitable suppliers and subcontractors Support development of standardised engineering tools and processes to increase productivity. Maintain internal relationships with sales/projects & engineering teams through effective communication About you: Appropriate tertiary Electrical Engineering qualifications Strong interest and knowledge of diesel generators, power generation, energy storage systems and associated equipment Experience in control systems, PLC programming and testing. Registered professional engineer with RPEV is desirable Fluent with AS3000, AS3008, AS 61439, AS 4777 and other relevant standards Ability to select switchgear and electrical components for auxiliary distribution and controls system designs Ability to produce electrical and controls schematics, single line drawings, preferably auto-cad electrical Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD software and business operating systems Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Why join Penske?
