About the Role As a Linux Engineer , you’ll play a key role in automating and managing Linux environments across complex, multi-environment solutions. You’ll design, implement, and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms, applying cyber security hardening, automation, and best practice configurations to ensure robust, reliable, and secure systems. What You’ll Do Automate the delivery of Linux-based operating systems, applications, and configurations using tools like Ansible and Terraform. Develop and maintain a Red Hat Linux SOE with ACSC hardening for VMware-based environments. Apply and manage security patching and system updates across enterprise-scale Linux environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with DevSecOps and CI/CD principles . Produce detailed design and operational documentation to support delivery and ongoing operations. Contribute to the planning and execution of a multi-phase delivery program . What You’ll Bring Proven experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and management. Strong skills in automation and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible). Experience supporting Linux-based systems, applications, and databases in enterprise environments. Knowledge of patching, security hardening, and risk management principles . Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD , and change/release management processes. Desirable Skills Experience with VMware , containerised systems , and cloud platforms (AWS) . Understanding of networking fundamentals , Essential 8 , and ISM compliance . Application packaging and deployment experience.
