As an Infrastructure Engineer , you’ll play a key role in the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of cutting-edge hardware across multiple datacentres — supporting mission-critical systems that keep Australia secure. What You’ll Do Install, configure, and maintain hardware across multiple datacentres. Design, document, and deliver technical artefacts to support ongoing operations and sustainment. Conduct capacity planning, continuous improvement, and operational optimisation. Build and enhance capabilities for environment management (e.g., firmware updates). What You’ll Bring Essential Skills: Hands-on experience deploying and managing datacentre hardware. Expertise with VMware VCF and Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) environments. Strong background in HPE Compute and Storage , network storage (iSCSI/Fibre Channel) , and Palo Alto NGFW . Solid networking knowledge (Cisco IOS-XE and NXOS). Experience maintaining a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) . Understanding of the Essential 8 and ISM security compliance requirements. Desirable Skills: Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps project environments. Familiarity with Cisco ACI (SDN) , Terraform , and Ansible .
