About the Career Comeback Program Our 12-week Career Comeback program is designed to help talented professionals confidently re-enter the workforce. You’ll join us in a permanent role within our Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) business while receiving wrap-around support, including: A structured induction and re-onboarding experience Personalised career coaching and mentoring Professional development workshops to rebuild confidence and help you thrive from day one A dedicated program manager to guide you through every stage About the team CBA’s Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors. It provides a full range of capital raising, transactional, and risk management products and services. IB&M also plays a critical internal role by delivering equities, markets, lending, and transaction banking execution capabilities to other CBA business units, enabling them to capture opportunities with business customers. Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) is responsible for the optimisation and active management of IB&M’s balance sheet and capital to improve customer, risk, and commercial outcomes. CPM supports the structuring and pricing of solutions to better address customer needs while enhancing financial performance. About the role You’ll join a collaborative, high-performing team that values curiosity, integrity, and continuous learning. We work cross-functionally and are committed to building a brighter future through disciplined risk management and commercial excellence. We understand flexibility matters, so we’re open to part-time arrangements (4 days per week) if that works best for you. In this role, you will: Develop and deliver portfolio insights that inform strategic decisions Support the design and execution of forward-looking portfolio strategies Engage with stakeholders across Institutional Banking & Markets to embed CPM thinking into deal origination and structuring Contribute to capital efficiency and cross-product alignment initiatives Drive commercial growth while maintaining disciplined risk management Collaborate across product, coverage, risk, treasury, and finance teams We’re interested in hearing from people who have: A breadth of background - we welcome candidates from institutional banking, credit, treasury, strategy, consulting, analytics, product, or finance Strong problem-solving and communication skills Confidence in dealing with ambiguity and a proactive mindset Sound capability in persuading and influencing A growth mindset and willingness to contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team Ready to make your comeback?
