Role Description: This is a full-time Accounts Payable/Receivable role based in Southport. The Accounts Payable/Receivable professional will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations with a focus on construction project payments, supplier accounts, and client invoicing. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting smooth cash flow for the business. You’ll work closely with project managers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure payments and receivables are processed on time and aligned with project schedules. What You’ll Be Doing: • Process supplier invoices, subcontractor claims, and progress payments in line with construction contracts • Prepare and issue client invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables • Reconcile accounts payable/receivable and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and subcontractors • Assist with project cost tracking and provide financial reports to project managers and senior management • Support month-end and year-end financial close, including reconciliations and reporting • Monitor cash flow and ensure accurate coding of project-related expenses • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve payment queries • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant construction industry requirements What We’re Looking For: • Proven experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or a similar accounting role, ideally within the construction or property development industry • Knowledge of construction progress claims, subcontractor payments, and contract accounting practices • Proficiency with accounting software (Xero, MYOB, or similar) and strong MS Excel skills • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in processing financial data • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities • Effective communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-service approach • Formal qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred What We Offer:A long-term role with strong project pipeline and job security in a growing development/construction companyHands-on exposure to high-quality developments from concept to completionCompetitive salary packageSupportive team environment with room to grow as the business expands If you think you'd be a good fit, please apply below!
