A unique opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our team as an Assistant Accountant/Junior Accountant . Duties and responsibilities will include: Support the accurate maintenance of company accounts to ensure timely and reliable trading results. Monitor and manage costs, payments, and financial accuracy. Assist the Financial Controller with dealership administration and ensure all statutory returns are completed on time. Process retail vehicle deals and related financial transactions. Handle daily banking, including finance deposits, cash and cheque lodgements, and reconciliation of bank statements. Enter and reconcile all bank statements accurately and promptly. Process and reconcile all factory claims and reimbursements. Prepare and post month-end journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Assist in the accurate and timely production of internal and external financial reports, including statutory submissions and payments of taxes and rates. Complete debtor reconciliations and follow up as required. Maintain filing systems and ensure financial records are up to date and easily accessible. Provide general administrative and finance support across the department as needed. To succeed in the role the applicant must display: Proven experience as in an Accounts role A relevant qualification in Accounting would be advantageous Strong attention to detail Accurate data entry / computer skills Ability to multi task High standards of professionalism Excellent written and verbal communication Previous automotive industry experience is preferred but not essential.
