The Role The Deputy Principal should leverage a deep understanding of future-focused education, data-driven practices and expertise in education to inspire, model and lead excellence to develop a strong and visionary learning culture at Eden Hill PS. Experience and knowledge of current educational research as it applies to the pedagogy of higher impact teaching strategies (HITS) would be preferred and an awareness of Quality Teaching Strategy and Teaching For Impact would be highly regarded. Suitable applicants, you should provide educational leadership in the Early Years by implementing the strategic initiatives as stated in the School Business Plan. Strong leadership skills in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and a high-level knowledge in ECE contemporary practices will be highly regarded. Excellent communication skills and in-depth curriculum knowledge, particularly in literacy and numeracy are highly desired. The ability to develop positive relationships with students is desirable. Ideally, applicants will display knowledge, understanding and experience in leading Positive Behaviour Support, Special Education Needs (SEN) planning and coaching, mentoring, and working as part of a collaborative Student Services team.
