We are searching for an experienced Site Engineer to support the businesses achievement of Operational Excellence through embedding best practice quality and asset management principles, systems, processes. This role is based in Melton VIC, reporting to the Contract Manager. Key responsibilities Support the tendering, planning, and execution of maintenance contracts Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed Contribute to business improvement initiatives and cost-efficiency strategies Maintain strong client relationships and represent Downer professionally What you’ll bring Degree in Engineering (civil preferred) Valid Driver’s Licence Experience in contract/project management within civil construction or maintenance Strong understanding of ISO 9001, safety, and quality systems Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools Downer is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
