Supply and Distribution Manager – Full-Time VD Distribution Pty Ltd Location: 19 Penny Pl, Arndell Park NSW 2148 VD Distribution Pty Ltd is a leading distributor of premium Asian ethnic food products, including perishable items and authentic Indian sweets, supplying major supermarkets and speciality stores across New South Wales, Canberra, Victoria and Queensland. With rapid expansion and increasing demand for our authentic products, we are looking for an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to strengthen our operations and ensure the seamless flow of goods across our growing network. About the Role The Supply and Distribution Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of storage, and distribution, ensuring that stock is maintained at optimal levels and delivered on time to meet client needs. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, implement inventory control systems, and lead distribution strategies that support the company’s continued growth and reputation for quality. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies tailored to perishable Indian sweets and Asian ethnic products. Plan and maintain optimal stock levels to reduce wastage while ensuring continuous product availability. Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency. Oversee inventory systems to track goods movement, reordering, and stock rotation at optimal times. Coordinate with internal teams and customers to align delivery schedules and ensure client requirements are met. Supervise and guide warehouse and logistics staff, monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with WHS and food safety standards. Monitor supplier performance and evaluate potential new vendors to strengthen the supply chain. Ensure accurate recording and documentation of all purchasing, storage, and distribution transactions. Oversee quality assurance processes, including hygiene checks, audits, and safety compliance. Monitor and review policies, staff performance, and operational systems to drive continuous improvement. About You To succeed in this role, you will have: Proven experience in supply chain, distribution, or procurement management, preferably within perishable goods or food distribution. Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Solid negotiation skills with experience in supplier management. Proficiency in inventory management systems and logistics coordination. Knowledge of WHS and compliance standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with suppliers, staff, and clients.
