The Administrative Review Tribunal is seeking applications for a Policy, Procedures and Training Officer within the new Operational Policy, Procedures and Training section. This ongoing full-time hybrid role can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. About the opportunity Reporting to the Assistant Director and working closely with Senior Policy, Procedures and Training Officers, this role will assist in the development and maintenance of procedures, policy, template and training products. This involves a range of different support for the section that may include tasks related to the development of procedures, policy or training products, liaison with internal stakeholders, and the coordination of consultation or training events. The role is also responsible for maintaining the section's key internal communication channels, including intranet content, mailbox, and regular reporting, as well as record-keeping. The key duties of the position include Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Collaborate with subject matter experts and team members on the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, forms, templates and training materials. Service delivery: Produce and maintain key communication channels to ensure stakeholders are kept informed of developments and the section's priorities, including maintaining intranet content, drafting progress reports, and monitoring the mailbox. Contribute to the development and implementation of effective service delivery strategies for the team, consistent with the needs of stakeholders and the Tribunal's statutory and other objectives. Develop a high level of technical competence with IT systems used by the section in the execution of their duties. Provide advice to internal stakeholders in relation to the use of operational procedures, templates and forms, and the delivery of training provided by the section. Project management support : Provide project support to team members, including drafting initiation documentation, monitoring timelines, drafting communications, record-keeping, and undertaking research and analysis of material that is sometimes complex and voluminous. Coordinate, document and prioritise incoming requests according to established internal frameworks. Liaise with colleagues across the section to manage competing demands and priorities. Training development and delivery: Contribute to the coordination of operational training activities delivered by the section, including scheduling, liaison with internal teams, evaluation and publication of support materials. Innovation and change: Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest new or changed ways of working to support the Tribunal to provide consistently high-quality and accessible services to users. About you: To be successful you will have: Ability to maintain productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders and work collaboratively to achieve outcomes. Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis of sometimes complex and voluminous material, exercise sound judgement, identify opportunities for improvement and suggest creative solutions. Good communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality written materials for a range of internal and external audiences, and provide sound advice to internal stakeholders on the use of materials published by the section. Demonstrated capacity to work independently with some guidance, manage competing priorities, plan, and negotiate timeframes. A well-developed understanding, or the ability to quickly acquire a well-developed understanding, of the Tribunal's legislative, operational and policy context, particularly in relation the development of policy, procedure and training materials.
