The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) are seeking two Senior Policy Procedure and Training Officers, where you will be instrumental in shaping our operational excellence. These ongoing hybrid roles at The Administrative Review Tribunal can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. This position is available primarily on a full-time ongoing basis however non-ongoing can also be considered. Reporting to an Assistant Director, you will work as part of a growing team that is spread across the country and is responsible for ensuring that review-related policies, procedures and training materials are available to support staff and members of the Tribunal in conducting merits review. The work of the section is divided into policy, procedures and templates, and training portfolios, with Senior Policy Procedures and Training Officers assigned to work across 1-2 portfolios in response to operational need. The Tribunal is currently looking for strong communicators to begin working in the following areas: Procedures and templates portfolio , to coordinate, develop and maintain the Tribunal's review-related internal procedures, user-facing forms and letter templates. Training portfolio, to develop and deliver training and other learning materials to support staff and members in undertaking their day-to-day responsibilities. Material may be delivered online or in print, as well as through eLearning modules and training videos. In all portfolios, the role will require you to interpret and apply legislation and policy, identify and suggest solutions to issues, and work closely with subject matter experts and other key internal stakeholders. The key duties of the position include Stakeholder management: Build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Regularly engage with subject matter experts and other key stakeholders to identify policy, procedure, template or training needs, identify opportunities for consistency, collaborate on solutions, and seek feedback. Service delivery: Anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs, collect and analyse stakeholder feedback to make recommendations, maintain information on the intranet, communicate timeframes and prioritise work appropriately. Contribute to the development and implementation of effective service delivery strategies for the team, consistent with the needs of stakeholders and the Tribunal's statutory and other objectives. Innovation and change: Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest new or changed ways of working to support the Tribunal to provide consistently high-quality and accessible services to users. Depending on the assigned portfolio/s, The Senior Policy, Procedures and Training Officer will also be responsible for one or a combination of the following: Policy development and advice: Anticipate policy gaps and issues, undertake research and analysis, formulate balanced and practical recommendations in line with relevant legislation and organisational objectives. Draft policy documents to a high standard and maintain good records. Provide advice on policy issues and escalate risks appropriately. Procedures and templates development: Develop and maintain procedures to support staff to undertake case management and member support functions, and external-facing forms and letter templates. Identify opportunities for consistency and reducing duplication. Training and learning materials development: Design, deliver and evaluate training packages, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure content and mode supports learning objectives. To be successful you will: Be a problem solver who is curious and enjoys research. Have experience in, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, case management functions and/or registry operations generally. Have the ability to write, design and build procedures and/or associated learning materials. Be a capable negotiator who enjoys learning about new systems and the process of change. Have the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships, working as part of a team to problem-solve through capable communication and negotiation with stakeholders. Be able to demonstrate experience in managing complex projects, delivering results on time and to a high standard.
