A new $78 million Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) is being developed at Browns Plains, set to begin operations in July 2026. The facility will process up to 65,000 tonnes of recyclables annually and represents a rare greenfield opportunity to influence both commercial and operational success from the ground up. We are seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial mobilisation of the facility and establish its long-term financial and operational frameworks. This hands-on role covers: Oversight of the DBOM (Design, Build, Operate and Maintain) contract Management of commodity sales, gate rate modelling, and Container Refund Scheme (CRS) revenue Development of third-party tonnage arrangements to optimise facility utilisation Establishment of governance, financial reporting, and transparent stakeholder frameworks Why this role is exceptional: Broad remit: Shape commercial strategy, contractor management, and operational oversight.
