Are you an experienced IT Manager ready to take ownership of end-to-end IT operations across a complex, multi-site business? This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the IT function for an iconic and growing Australian organisation with a strong operational footprint across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll play a key role in driving IT performance, reliability, and innovation, overseeing infrastructure, applications, ERP systems, and day-to-day IT operations, while working closely with a supportive executive team and group-level IT specialists. About the Role You’ll manage and optimise the IT environment to align with business objectives and group technology standards. Your focus will include: Overseeing daily IT operations across infrastructure, applications, and end-user systems Managing IT projects from concept to delivery — on time and within budget Ensuring system reliability, security, and efficiency Collaborating with the parent group’s IT teams to align strategies and governance Leading IT vendors and contractors to ensure strong service delivery Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee the maintenance of on-premise and cloud infrastructure, hardware, software, and networks Manage IT operations across multiple Brisbane sites and a smaller NZ site (supported by third-party vendors) Partner with the Group Infrastructure team to ensure alignment and best-practice management Applications & ERP Lead support and lifecycle management of business applications Manage third-party vendors and internal SMEs supporting the Infor LX ERP system (running on IBM iSeries) Oversee upgrades, troubleshooting, and system monitoring (job queues, subsystem jobs, disaster recovery preparation) Support label printing, scanning, and forms/emailing solutions Leadership & Collaboration Partner with the CFO and Group IT Director to align IT strategy with business goals Manage IT contractors and suppliers, building strong and collaborative relationships Oversee budgets, procurement, and IT spend Maintain and enhance IT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans What You’ll Bring Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience 10 years in IT leadership roles, with a strong background in both infrastructure and applications Proven experience with IBM iSeries ERP systems – ideally Infor LX Technical expertise across: IBMi systems Coolspools (or equivalent forms/emailing tools) Staylinked (or equivalent session management solutions) Halcyon/Robot Job Schedulers (or equivalent) Printing, scanning, and barcode systems Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 environments Excellent vendor and stakeholder management skills Strong communication, problem-solving, and project delivery abilities Hands-on leadership style — comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed Why You’ll Love It Here Play a strategic and hands-on role with autonomy and influence Join a respected, stable, and values-driven organisation with strong ties to industry Collaborate with an experienced executive and IT leadership team Opportunity to modernise systems and drive meaningful operational improvements Interested?
