Learn more about SESLHD here The Nurse Manager; Medicine and Outpatient Services, is responsible for the provision of strategic and operational direction of the division, for the support, ongoing service development and managerial direction to the clinical services. The Nurse Manager is also responsible for the effective management of clinical services, its people and resources, in partnership with the Co-Director. The Nurse Manager reports to the Co-Director Nursing and Midwifery Operations (Medicine, Aged, Rehabilitation and Extended Care, Southcare, Cancer, Outpatient and Women’s and Children’s Health Services) and works within the Executive Team, whilst maintaining established professional reporting structures, including the established structures for nurses and midwives’ professional, functional and managerial reporting to the Co-Director. The position assists in the development and implementation of the strategic plan for SESLHD. The ideal candidate will have: Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Holds tertiary management qualifications or equivalent work experience relevant to the role and demonstrated evidence of recent professional development to further enhance leadership and management qualifications. High level knowledge of current organisational key performance indicators outlining their relevance to the service Broad clinical and operational management experience at a senior level within a complex health care environment including strategic planning, the development and implementation of Business / Operational Plans. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational, program and professional outcomes. Demonstrated experience in the application of change management principles and achievement of measurable outcomes in a quality and safety framework. Demonstrated ability to analyse and contribute to the resolution of issues related to the day to day function of the clinical area. Demonstrated senior experience in human resources and financial management within a complex health care service.
