Your new role - Operations CoordinatorWe’re looking for an Operations Coordinator to bring their skills to a role that keeps everything moving. Reporting to the WA Manager, you’ll take charge of coordinating import, export, domestic, and commercial operations, making sure every process runs smoothly and efficiently. Liaising with customers and overseas offices to coordinate operational enquiries and shipments Registering shipments in Cargowise and coordinating formalities including export and import processes with company Customs department and Customs / DAFF Verifying cargoes suitability for international and or domestic transport and making relevant arrangements should the freight require re/packing or fumigation, special handling, etc Facilitating airfreight / seafreight bookings of various types of cargo including dangerous goods Monitoring shipments through to completion, particularly OOG, Breakbulk Monitoring progress of customs and quarantine clearance via ICS and communicating the outcome to the customer Completing billing process; timely and accurately coding of supplier’s invoices and preparing files for handover to company Accounts as per contracted rate agreements Delivering a high level of customer service including assisting with RFQ’s Participating in general office tasks as required What you will need to succeed Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position Knowledge of customs and freight forwarding terminology Excellent working knowledge of Customs ICS and Cargowise computer systems Operations Coordinator experience High level customer service skills Positive and professional attitude High attention to detail and strong planning and organisation skills Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy work environment Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your resume, or call Thomas Hunter now at 0437 537 .
