The key duties of the position include The Role The Governance and Reporting Directorate has a range of functions, including Committee Support, Ministerial Parliamentary and Coordination & Executive Reporting, and Information Management, providing support to the Deputy Secretary (DEPSEC) Naval Shipbuilding Sustainment (NSS) and NSS group. As an APS5 Governance officer in the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) Committee Support team , you will display a high level of administrative skills, the ability to communicate with influence and exercise initiative and judgment to achieve outcomes. You will be responsible for: Providing technical and administrative support to DEPSEC NSS and Assistant Secretary (AS) Group Business Manager (GBM). Providing secretariat and administrative support for DEPSEC NSS represented committees Liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Working independently with reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of business outcomes. Building and sustaining effective relationships with team members and actively participate in teamwork and group activities. Providing a high level of governance administration. Actively contributing towards business improvements. About our Team The Governance and Reporting Directorate, in the Business Management Office, has a range of functions, including Committee Support, Ministerial Parliamentary and Coordination & Executive Reporting, and Information Management, providing support to the DEPSEC NSS and the NSS group. The Committee Support team is the Secretariat for the Naval Shipbuilding Coordination Group and the NSSG Board and supports NSSG Principles attendance at 12 Tier 1 and 2 committees across Defence. You will be working with a team based in Canberra. There are three teams in the Directorate, with flexibility to move between teams/functions during peak periods and to grow and expand skills. We support the development and growth of our people and will encourage and provide training were required.
