The Role An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Gastroenterology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Provide expertise in leading the shift, supporting the staff on the unit and caring for all surgical patients Assist in the provision of education training to the other nursing staff Have recent experience in the care of patients in a postoperative surgery environment Participate in formulating, implementing and evaluating objectives, policies and procedures About you To be successful in this position you will require: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Permanent part time Base salary ranging from $54.44 - $58.30 per hour About Us The Gastrointestinal (GGI) ward is a 28-bed ward (physical and funded) located in C2East (C2E) at the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH). GGI is a mixed surgical/ medical ward caring for patients with Gastrointestinal (GI) and Gastroenterology (GE) conditions. Care of the patients can be pre or post-operative or non-surgical.
