Our Team & Opportunity Vanguard Australia has established a specialist Adviser Offer team, within the intermediary distribution channel. The role of the team will be to support Vanguard Sales Executives to broaden the Vanguard value proposition to the adviser community. The Practice Development Manager (PDM) is a specialist role that will work across the intermediary distribution team with the objective of supporting advisers’ business needs. The PDM will assist advisers to develop business efficiency, structure their offer, engage with their clients and define and articulate their value proposition. It has never been harder to run a business in this current environment. The purpose of this role will be to provide business insights, industry best practice and business coaching to Vanguards most valued advice practices. The key objectives of the role are to support advice practices to grow their business, help them serve their clients and to help them give their clients the best chance for investment success. Core Accountabilities; Conduct effective Practice Consulting meetings with individual advice practices covering a range of business management topics. Deliver effective consulting meeting summaries to practices post discussions Be the intermediary distribution team expert on financial planning, advice regulation, advice businesses and industry insights. Be responsible for the delivery of workshops to help advisers construct, document and deliver their investment philosophy to clients. Be responsible for the delivery of workshops to help advisers construct, document and position their client value proposition. Develop scalable tools, articles and collateral based on Practice Management topics Conduct research and provide industry benchmarking on key aspects of running an advice business. Present Practice Management topics at Webinars, PD days, seminars and workshops. Maintain an in-depth understanding on regulatory changes that will impact financial planning and advice practices. Serve as a mentor, role model, and technical resource for intermediary distribution crew as required. Be the subject matter expert on advice businesses to inform and support internal business partners to distribute external collateral Lead internal initiatives that relate to providing the industry with greater support around advice. Role Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: Minimum of 10 years’ financial services industry experience Prior experience in Practice Management roles highly regarded. Have previously worked as a Practice Development Manager or Financial Planner demonstrating a strong knowledge of the industry, personal advice process and running a financial planning business. Experience running your own advice business or has been responsible for a group of clients under your own license highly regarded. An understanding of the key attributes of a successful advice practice. Strong presentation, influencing and coaching skills are required Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance related field is required along with CFP, Graduate Diploma FP or Masters of FP qualifications preferred.
