We design, supply and install building appendages such as stair towers, roof egress systems, structural plant platforms, stand alone acoustic and visual screening systems and many other structures. Description The Role As a key member of our factory team, you’ll be responsible for the accurate fabrication, assembly, and preparation of aluminium products in line with Monkeytoe’s quality and safety standards. You’ll work with technical drawings, machinery, and fabrication tools to produce components that meet our exacting standards — helping deliver the high-quality products our clients expect. What You’ll Be Doing Fabrication & Assembly Fabricate aluminium products in accordance with provided instructions and technical drawings. Assist with small parts assembly, condenser mount dispatch, and larger product assembly. Maintain machinery and jigs according to a regular schedule; ensure they are tidy, well-kept, and returned to storage after use. Maintain an organised, clean, and presentable work area at all times. Perform regular quality assurance checks to ensure products meet specifications. Packaging & Dispatch Carry out final collation and packaging of products, ensuring presentation and quality meet Monkeytoe standards. Skills And Experiences What We’re Looking For Proven experience as an aluminium or metal fabricator, or in a similar trade role. Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in aluminium fabrication. Experience operating pop-up saws, band saws, guillotines, and similar machinery. MIG welding experience (preferred but not essential). High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Team player who can also work independently and take initiative. Leadership skills and a proactive, positive attitude. Ability to communicate through all levels in the business. Qualifications & Requirements Forklift licence and valid driver’s licence required. High level of English acumen. Trade background in carpentry or cabinetry (beneficial but not essential). Performance Expectations Maintain strong 5S standards in your work area.
