APS6 Communications Officer – Internal Communications We are seeking an experienced Communications Officer to support a major policy transformation through strategic internal communications. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful national priorities while working in a collaborative and supportive team environment. About the Role As an APS6 Communications Officer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering internal communications strategies that support organisational change. You’ll work across a broad range of communication activities and contribute to improved processes and project planning. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement internal communications strategies and plans Prepare high-quality, accessible written content for diverse audiences Build strong internal networks to deliver timely and targeted communications Support the development and delivery of internal communications products Contribute to process improvements and communications-related project planning What We’re Looking For Tertiary qualifications in communications or public relations Minimum 2 years’ experience in a communications-related role Strong writing, proofreading, and attention to detail Demonstrated experience in strategy development and delivery Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organisational skills Ability to build effective relationships and thrive in evolving environments Familiarity with Australian Government processes Experience in the higher education sector is an advantage Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint Eligibility Requirements Australian citizenship ID verification and police check What You’ll Gain You’ll contribute to shaping Australia’s research landscape and gain exposure to senior executive decision-making.
