About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing Harnest team. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you’ll play a key role in the preparation of tenders, contracts, purchase orders and cost plans across our social and affordable housing projects. You’ll work closely with Sales Consultants, Project Managers, and the Construction team to ensure pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned with our mission of delivering high-quality housing solutions. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate tenders, costings, specifications and Bills of Quantities for projects across social and SDA housing. Review and interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, scopes of work, surveys and site data. Collaborate with Sales, Design and Project teams to process variations and ensure customer requirements are met. Produce purchase orders for trades and suppliers, ensuring documentation is accurate and timely. Support tender submissions, including subcontractor pricing, risk assessment and value management opportunities. Maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships to achieve competitive pricing. Contribute to continuous improvement across estimating and procurement processes. About You Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating or construction/site management (custom builds, townhouses or multi-residential). Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural complexity, costs and terminology. Ability to read and interpret drawings, identify issues, and provide practical solutions. High attention to detail, strong numeracy and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects to deadline with accuracy. Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate win-win outcomes. Qualification in Building/Construction Management (Cert IV or above) and/or trade qualification . Proficiency in Databuild, Framework or equivalent estimating software, plus Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Why Join Us?
