The Cargo Support department has overview of the division’s operational systems, network coordination, training delivery, operational documentation, and data management. The Training & Standards Specialist is responsible for designing, developing and delivering training material for the cargo division in line with regulatory and company requirements (training packages focus largely on operational processes and digital systems). There will be a strong focus on maintaining operational standards and regulatory compliance across the department’s manual and procedure suite. In this role, you will also be required to collaborate with external vendors to maintain training compliance, as well work closely with internal and external stakeholders on operational initiatives. Key Accountabilities You will design and deliver essential cargo specific training to outsourced partners and cargo terminal handlers. Key accountabilities include: Ensure training material, records and standards in the cargo operation are compliant with the respective regulations and company requirements Develop, maintain and deliver training material for internal and external stakeholders Work collaboratively with third-party vendors to maintain compliance and support training delivery Attend internal meetings to scope and safely implement new operational initiatives pertaining to cargo operations Ensure manuals and procedures comply with VA policy, IATA standards and CASA regulations Liaise and engage with operational stakeholders, vendors and Cargo management to identify continuous improvement opportunities related to training, policy and procedural development Maintain the learning management system used by Cargo to manage training enrolments and compliance for internal and external stakeholders We’re a winning team and we attract the best: challengers, innovators, and seriously fun individuals with big hearts.
