About the Role At Greyhound, we are always searching for amazing individuals to represent our iconic company and we are currently seeking an experienced Trainer to join our team in the role of Driver Supervisor to induct and train new drivers and to work with all drivers to delight our customers. This is a full-time position located at our Pinkenba Head Office. The role entails: Hands on Induction training for new Coach Captains Supervising, assessing and reviewing Coach Captains. For example driving checks and other assessment procedures as required. Monitoring, coaching and supporting drivers to improve performance Instructs new Coach Captain's in route and passenger vehicle operations Addressing performance concerns with Coach Captains where appropriate Assist and support Coach Captains & Operations Supervisor when needed. Assist in covering driving shifts when required Ensure all Coach Captains are adhering to and demonstrating safe work and driving practices Ensure Coach Captains are complying with road rules, operational processes including pre-starts checks, ticketing, incident reporting, and passenger manifest and freight consignment procedures Ensure Coach Captains demonstrate correct manual handling of all luggage and freight including safe manual handling techniques are used at all times Ensure Coach Captains are trained in Seeing Eye Technology and understand all processes and procedures Work with our Coach Captain's to educate basic fatigue management Ensue our Coach Captain's are creating a positive customer experience on every single service About You: To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about relationship building, training, teaching and is ready to live and breathe our values: Be safe Let’s collaborate Delight our customers Be accountable Be empowered Enjoy what you do Licences/ Requirements: A current HR driver licence ( Essential ) A current Drivers Authority / Endorsement ( or ability to obtain ) Demonstrable best practice coach driving experience An outstanding safety focus, including a commitment to your own fitness for duty Experience delivering excellent customer service is a must Time management skills Fixability to work weekends and over night shifts, when required.
