About the role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Portfolio Officer to join our Governance and Corporate Services division. In this role, you will support the Portfolio Services team by providing program and project support, governance oversight, portfolio and compliance reporting, quality assurance, risk and issue management, and toolset administration. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting and governance processes that align with strategic delivery goals. This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment and will be a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months. About You You are a collaborative and organised professional with a passion for supporting project delivery and governance. You thrive in dynamic environments, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and are committed to continuous improvement and capability uplift across teams. About Your Skills Strong communication and customer service skills High-level interpersonal skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships Excellent time management and organisational abilities Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and SharePoint Advanced administration experience in SharePoint and MS Teams Ability to manage complex workloads and meet business targets under pressure Required Qualifications Certificate IV in Project Management or demonstrated capability through relevant experience and/or qualifications Desired Experience PMO experience in a coordination role, ideally within an EPMO Experience preparing and delivering reports and presentations to management Understanding of project lifecycles and governance processes Experience managing project financials Experience in managing project compliance and assurance Experience using Project Management tools, preferably Project Online Why Essential Energy Essential Energy provides employees with a broad range of employee benefits through our corporate partnerships with organisations such as Qantas, Optus, nib and Mildura Health Fund.
