Description We currently have a 6-month fixed-term contract opportunity for a Digital Asset Management Technical Specialist to join our Asset and Digital division. This role reports to the Digital Asset Management Specialist and plays a critical role in driving innovation and consistency in asset management practices across Essential Energy’s electricity distribution network. The Digital Asset Management Technical Specialist is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and implementation of digital asset management strategies, supporting network reliability, and enhancing operational decision-making through advanced modelling and data-driven insights. This role can be based anywhere within our operational footprint. Key Responsibilities Deliver specialised technical services in the design and implementation of digital asset management techniques. Lead strategic planning and execution of digital asset management projects to meet budget and timeframes. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project outcomes align with regulatory and business objectives. Facilitate root cause analysis and asset failure investigations using digital twin modelling. Provide expert advice on network performance, reliability, and asset intervention strategies. Develop fit-for-purpose digital asset management strategies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. About You As a Digital Asset Management Technical Specialist, you will bring deep technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement. You will be experienced in asset management within energy or asset-intensive industries and confident in leading complex projects and influencing decision-making. Required Qualifications/Skills Mandatory: Degree in Engineering Science, Engineering, Asset Management or equivalent experience. Desirable: Qualifications in electrical, mechanical or power engineering, asset management, strategy, or process improvement. Business or project management qualifications. Field experience with electrical distribution networks. CAAM (Certified Associate in Asset Management). Experience: Experience in energy/electrical or asset-intensive industries. Strong background in data modelling, statistical analysis, and strategic planning. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g. WHS, IPART, AER, Electricity Act, ISO55001). Proven ability to prepare reports and advise senior stakeholders. Skills: High-level analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver impactful outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Why Join Essential Energy?
