Security clearance Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 Job Details: Key duties and responsibilities The Commission is seeking to engage a suitably qualified Release Manager. This is a greenfield program with no pre-existing release management capability. This role will be responsible for leading the design, delivery, and maturity of release capability from the ground up. This includes owning the release lifecycle, tooling decisions, governance models, and rollout across multiple delivery streams. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Establish and maintain the Release Management plan and processes in consultation with relevant stakeholders including third party suppliers. Execute the Release Management processes inclusive of scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases for multiple applications across the program, i.e. CRM, Data Analytics Platform, Integration Platform, Cyber Tech, IT Service Management, Environments and Data. Releases may be inclusive of Projects and Programs, application changes, operating system patches, security improvements, and hardware upgrades. Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews. Co-ordinate the production of Release, Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans. Liaise with delivery partner(s) for system implementation. Liaist with test manager and analysts to establish the quality gates throughout releases. Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges. Produce regular Release Reporting highlighting status, risk, issues and key decisions. Ensure all Change Processes are followed including Cyber assessments, Penetration testing, Go/No-Go gates. Maintain a positive collaborative team environment including business and delivery partner(s). Be a champion for continuous improvement, leveraging deep experience in ICT Release Management. Qualifications / Experience Proven experience of at least 5-8 years in establishing and managing Release Management processes in a greenfield environment and enterprise business system context. Enterprise-level experience in managing Releases and delivering systems based on contemporary platforms and architectures (e.g. data, integration platform and CRM system) including high level of integration to internal and external systems. Proven experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management, software development/configuration, testing, system delivery, governance frameworks and methodologies. Relevant tertiary qualifications; and an industry recognised qualification in project management; or Agile certifications. (Desirable) Experience in testing framework and tools.
