ABOUT THE ROLE The Cloud Services Principal Consultant will lead strategic cloud engagements and drive innovation across our managed services portfolio. In this senior role, you’ll advise clients on cloud transformation, design secure and scalable architectures, and oversee the delivery of public cloud solutions across the MS Azure platform. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, guide engineering teams, and contribute to service development while ensuring governance, compliance, and operational excellence. This role is pivotal in driving customer acquisition, cloud services adoption, enhancing revenue growth, and positioning Tecala as a trusted leader in public and private cloud services. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical Public Cloud expertise, consulting / advisory experience, supporting sales enablement / customer success, and strong business acumen to shape go-to-market strategies effectively. We are open to candidates based in most states across Australia. Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Act as a strategic advisor to clients on cloud adoption, transformation, and optimization. Lead cloud assessments, architecture reviews, and migration planning. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions across public, private, and hybrid environments (Azure). Provide technical oversight across cloud engineering, operations, and automation. Partner with sales teams to scope and propose cloud solutions. Lead client workshops, presentations, and technical demonstrations. Develop account plans for growth within existing clients, optimising cloud solution adoption. Drive net new Public Cloud opportunities through business development activities and personal networks. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and vendor offerings. Contribute to service development and internal capability building. Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to launch cloud offerings effectively. Represent Tecala at industry events, webinars, and forums. Required skills and experience: Proven experience in Cloud consulting/advisory, Sales enablement, Cloud adoption or Cloud solutioning and architect roles within IT services. Deep technical understanding of public cloud ecosystems and architecture, including hybrid cloud solutions (particularly Azure Cloud). Skilled at scoping projects and customer analysis to support business development efforts. And the ability to provide quotations and proposals to customers in a timely manner. Ability to develop and refine GTM strategies and productisation for public cloud services. Ability to develop and maintain new clients, source new opportunities, and support the sales lifecycle. Ability to lead customer engagement initiatives, fostering relationships through events, solution presentations, campaigns and strategic reviews. Strong communication and collaboration skills, ensuring effective engagement with stakeholders. Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution, driving measurable success. Ability to minimize company exposure and risk on projects, ensuring smooth execution. Ensure quality assurance procedures and engagement reviews align with business goals.
