Path Transit is looking for fully qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or suitable Light Vehicle Mechanics looking to upskill to start ASAP for multiple locations in the Perth Metropolitan area. In Western Australia, Path Transit operates a fleet of over 500 Transperth and School buses on behalf of the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia within the Perth Metropolitan and Regional areas, delivering over 1.2 million passenger journeys to West Australians each year. About the Role We are seeking motivated candidates, preferably with bus experience, to top up our staff levels for our expanding business in the Kalamunda and Morley Contract Areas, to service and maintain our fleet of diesel-powered Volvo and CNG-powered Mercedes buses as we prepare for the upcoming transition to zero-emission battery electric buses. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following: Maintaining, repairing and servicing our fleet Identifying, reporting and repairing vehicle defects Conducting planned maintenance in accordance with workshop schedules Completing assigned duties in a safe, clean, competent and timely manner Entering accurate information into fleet maintenance software Attending to breakdowns, accidents and incidents Suitable LV mechanics may also be considered for the role. On-the-job training 5 weeks of annual leave Skills and Experience Essential- Must have full-time work rights Trade Qualification (Heavy Vehicle preferred) Practical mechanical experience Proven Safety Record Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team Good communication skills Excellent time management skills and ability to effectively prioritise tasks High standard of workmanship Ability to diagnose and repair faults on modern vehicles, and desire to learn HR Licence or a plan to achieve this during your six-month probation period Desired- Experience in a similar role.
