Our Client: We are working in partnership with an Australian telecommunications organisation for a Senior Spark / Scala Developer opportunity. About the role You would be involved in: Design, develop, and optimize large-scale data processing applications using Apache Spark and Scala Designing and implementing software solutions across multiple platforms Producing high quality code with excellent test coverage Code reviews and Efficient and effective code maintenance Analysing product requirements and breaking down into user stories and tasks Estimating and planning to assist with the development of the product roadmap To be successful for the role, you would ideally be: Extensive experience in Apache Spark and Scala programming languages Experience with data serialization formats (e.g., Parquet, Avro, JSON) Hands-on experience with HDFS, Hive, or Delta Lake Experience working with Kafka, S3, SQL/NoSQL databases Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control (e.g., Git) Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (especially tools like EMR, Databricks, Glue, etc.) If you are looking for the next step in your career, please APPLY NOW.
