Join one of Australia's largest and most respected national AV production companies, assisting to deliver high-impact live events, touring productions, exhibitions and corporate shows. We're on the hunt for a driven and proactive people-driven Technical Director to join the growing Sydney team. The Role This is a pivotal role within the agency’s production arm, responsible for the planning, technical delivery, and leadership of major events. You’ll oversee allocated projects from inception to delivery, managing schedules, logistics, and onsite execution to ensure every event runs on time, on budget, and to an exceptional standard. Working closely with Project Managers, sales teams, and production crew, you’ll develop pre-event plans, coordinate labour and agency requirements, and supervise event delivery onsite wherever possible. You’ll be a key technical resource throughout the event process and an integral part of the agency’s reputation for excellence. Manage end-to-end delivery of allocated events, including scheduling, logistics, and onsite supervision Prepare and oversee labour schedules and project documentation Lead and mentor production teams, maintaining high standards of performance and professionalism Provide technical expertise across all facets of event delivery and equipment Monitor and control labour and event costs to maintain profitability Ensure events are delivered safely and in compliance with OH&S standards The Candidate You’re an experienced technical production professional with strong leadership skills and a track record of delivering large-scale events.
