As the Product Manager, you'll lead product development from concept through to customer delivery. The Role The Product Manager ensures company products are delivered to specification and on time by leading execution across the full lifecycle — from concept, through development, to customer delivery. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) your key responsibilities will be to: Lead product development from concept through to customer delivery Ensure design intent and customer requirements are fully met in production and deployment Align capability and resources, reframing solutions to deliver outcomes within constraints Translate customer requirements into clear, actionable product specifications Coordinate across departments to maintain quality, schedule and performance Establish processes for customer feedback and continuous improvement Guide development of next-generation products in line with strategic objectives Engage with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure delivery success Selection Criteria Essential Experience in low to mid-volume batch manufacturing Proven capability in end-to-end product lifecycle management Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical and business drivers Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on practical solutions Clear, concise communication skills, able to bring alignment across teams Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate Desirable Defence industry experience or exposure to highly regulated environments Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes and technology development Background in coordinating cross-disciplinary teams (engineering, operations, and supply chain) Success in the Role Within your first 12–18 months, success will be demonstrated by: Products consistently delivered to specification, on time, and meeting customer expectations Teams working effectively within resource constraints, with challenges reframed into achievable solutions Clear product specifications and delivery pathways established for current and next-generation systems Strong cross-functional coordination ensuring smooth handover from R&D to production and customer deployment Embedded feedback processes resulting in measurable product improvements Trusted relationships built with suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders N.B.
