$95,187 - $108,734 up to 15.4% Superannuation Enoggera - QLD The Role The Unilateral Training Exercise Support Officer supports the Assistant Director by managing a team of ADF, APS and Reserve personnel, and coordinating planning and support to Singapore unilateral training in Australia. This role is responsible to act as the coordination lead in the planning and execution of Singapore Armed Forces Unilateral Training Exercise under the Australia Singapore Military Training Initiative Agreement and associated implementing arrangements; and, the Singapore Police Force - Gurkha unilateral Exercise AUSSING under the CDF Memorandum of Understanding training in Australia. The role includes maintaining compliance with safety and environmental policies in accordance with Australian Department of Defence requirements and includes drafting of formal correspondence such as briefs and minutes. The role includes the implementation of policies, range capabilities, weapons and munitions requirements, range safety and weapon danger area templates, range booking tools and Training Area Standing Orders. The role is often outdoors and can be physically demanding working in a variety of conditions. The successful applicant must be reasonably fit and physically able to tolerate outdoor work under a variety of thermal and wet conditions. Working longer hours is a regular occurrence. These longer hours are managed through the use of flex time. About our Team Directorate of Operations and Training Area Management (DOTAM) has four main functions in support of Defence capability including operation and management of 40 national military Training Areas, delivery of bushfire mitigation across the Defence Estate, coordination of the support to major military exercises, facilitation of Defence domestic operations within Australia and, coordination of Defence Assistance to the Civil Community, Defence Force Aid to the Civil Authority. The DOTAM Unilateral Training (ULT) team provides a unique employment opportunity coordinating planning and support to Singapore unilateral training in Australia. The team works with a culturally diverse range of personnel and organisations, including Australian and Singaporean Military, APS and contracted staff both at Enoggera and remotely on Australian military training areas.
