This process may be used to fill positions across the Complaints and Incidents Branch. Regulatory professionals undertake an assessment of matters in line with agreed processes. They also use decision making capability and work within a defined regulatory framework aligned to the Enterprise Prioritisation Model (EPM). As a Regulatory Officer you will undertake assessment of matters applying the NDIS Commission's risk prioritisation criteria, setting out how the NDIS Commission assesses and applies a risk proportionate regulatory response. The key duties of the position include Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Supporting the assessment and management of matters aligned to the Enterprise Prioritisation Model (EMP). Complex matters are received through multiple external facing channels including phone, email and web-based. Conducting assessments and supporting teams to determine the appropriate regulatory action required, in-line with EPM. This may include assessing risk, consolidation of matters and managing a caseload of complex complaints and/or incidents relating to the provision of services by NDIS providers. Safeguarding of NDIS participants through timely identification of risks/s and undertaking referral and negotiating outcomes. The role may also assist and support teams to safeguard and understand safeguarding practices, and procedures. Initiate and develop productive working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and support the work of the NDIS Commission. Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous records by keeping systems and registers updated to reflect the status of work. Contributing to team outcomes with technical expertise and sound subject matter knowledge, providing guidance and quality assurance within a team environment. Supervise and support the team to achieve objectives with a focus on safety, staff wellbeing and high performance. Applying legislative, policy knowledge and actions whilst maintaining a well-developed understanding of relevant frameworks and regulatory priorities.
