Merriwa location / Full-time position Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm Supportive friendly team / parking provided / immediate start Fantastic opportunity for entry level Medical Receptionist An exciting opportunity for a full-time Medical Receptionist required for a friendly and supportive General Practice Clinic located at Merriwa. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. The successful applicant will have at least 1 year experience in a GP or allied health practice. The Role Our clients are warm and welcoming General Practitioners who are committed to providing holistic medical care for their patients. The practice is situated in the beach side location of Merriwa boasting modern rooms with superior facilities. Responsibilities include Welcoming patients to the practice / greeting patients Manage telephone calls Scheduling appointments Processing invoices, bills and payments using Medicare bulk-billing / follow up debtors where required Mail management both e-mail and paper Efficiently managing clinics, patient bookings Open and close the practice whilst maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the facility Scan and / or file patient correspondence MyMedicare patient registration Assist doctors and nurses with correspondence where required Flexibility to provide leave cover and other days if necessary About you Demonstrated previous experience as a Medical Receptionist (at least 1 year) in either General Practice or Allied Health practice Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Best Practice Software experience preferred Excellent organisational skills Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively and professionally, whilst also being supportive within a team environment Exceptional customer service and communication skills both in-person and on the phone with a demonstrated empathetic nature High attention to detail and level of accuracy ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information at all times Up to date COVID-19 vaccination & Police Clearance If you are looking for a rewarding role as a Medical Receptionist in a vibrant and professional practice, we look forward to receiving your application.
