The Disability Health Policy team has a temporary Senior Policy Officer (ASO6) role for someone who wants to contribute to creating a more inclusive health system and improving the health and wellbeing outcomes of people with disability in the ACT. Our team has two main focuses: Implementation of the ACT Disability Health Strategy (DHS) and First Action Plan , and The health response to Disability Reform under the Disability Royal Commission (DRC) and NDIS Review . The Senior Policy Officer will work predominantly on the implementation of the DHS and First Action Plan. Tasks include, but not limited to, background research, consultation, relationship management, procurement, and correspondence. The Senior Policy Officer will also work on disability reform and related issues. This involves supporting the ACT Government’s response to changes to disability services and supports that arise from the NDIS Review, the Disability Royal Commission (DRC), and other issues that have an effect on the ACT health system.
