About the Team The Australian Defence Satellite Communications Station (ADSCS) team comprises both locally engaged staff, as well as personnel on a term transfer from interstate. The team conducts a broad range of functions from administration and finance management, to managing large projects and integrating new communications capabilities into the site. Although team members have their own roles and responsibilities, the ASD team at ADSCS work together alongside our contracted workforce and colleagues from other Agencies to achieve outcomes on behalf of ASD and Australia's national security. About the Role As an Apprentice at ASD, your work will support Australia's national security. Whether you are a school leaver or looking for a career change, if you have a passion for Australia's national security, we encourage you to apply. You will work three to four days per week on site at the Australian Defence Satellite Communications Station, supported by ASD mentors and supervisors, with the rest of your time dedicated to completing a Certificate IV (1.5 years). ASD will pay for your studies as well as your work under a competitive remuneration package. The key duties of the position include You will work as part of a team and under routine direction to perform and achieve straightforward procedural, operational, administrative and business support, including workplace health and safety. We are looking for people who can demonstrate: Good communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines All successful candidates commence their apprenticeship on a salary of $62,755 plus a 4% service allowance and 15.4% superannuation.
