Job Description Senior DevOps Engineer (SRE) Sydney - 2 days WFH $180,000–200,000 super You'll take full control of the migration from on-prem to GCP, shaping it with your ideas and expertise. This is your chance to influence how over 60 tech professionals work, across AI, software and more. With hybrid working, you’ll only need to be in the office three days a week, and on those days your lunch is covered. You won’t be expected to work outside core hours, giving you real control over your time. You’ll report directly to the Head of Infra, giving you a clear line of influence and the chance to shape decisions at the highest level. As the lead on the GCP migration, you’ll modernise infrastructure and set the direction for the next phase of the company’s tech evolution. What you'll do You'll safeguard the availability and performance of live e-commerce transactions across the websites, ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Designing and optimising infrastructure solutions across GCP will give you the chance to work on large-scale, high-volume transaction environments. Building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks will accelerate software delivery and keep you hands-on with the latest tools. You'll champion Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and Puppet, embedding them across the team. Partnering with development squads, you’ll embed SRE and DevOps best practices into all ecommerce features and releases. Implementing modern observability, logging, and monitoring solutions will keep uptime and transaction stability where it needs to be. What you'll need Strong GCP experience – this isn’t a move from AWS or Azure Proven ability to drive architectural change, improving scalability and resilience in live environments A solid background in DevOps or SRE, with hands-on experience in high-availability systems About the company This business operates a pure e-commerce, asset-light drop-ship model.
