To find out more about NDS, please visit our website at https://nds.org.au Description About the Role Reports to: Quality & Safeguards Lead - Vic Location: Parkville, Melbourne Working Arrangement: Hybrid (at least 1 day in the office per week) Hours: Full-time Status: Fixed Term contract until 31 August 2027 Across all industries the rate of mental injuries at work are rising in Australia, and significant rises have been seen in the rate of these injuries in the disability sector. NDS is leading a project supported by WorkSafe Victoria’s WorkWell division to drive change in the level of Psychosocial Safety Climate (PSC) within disability services organisations. NDS will lead the establishment of a consortia of partners to develop and deliver Communities of Practice that build knowledge, lead to change and support the sector with tools and resources. The Communities of Practice aim to establish an experiential peer-to-peer learning opportunity that builds the capability of Victorian workplace leaders and enables them to improve PSC in their workplaces. The Communities of Practice will take a collaborative partnership approach and build the capability of Victorian workplace leaders to create psychologically healthy and safe workplaces. Key Responsibilities Ensure delivery of key measure of success including: engagement with stakeholders across the sector and government; management of administrative, contractual and financial aspects of the project, meeting reporting requirements and executing strategic communications. Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring project is delivered on time and within budget. Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate project documentation, including work plans, reports, and evaluation materials. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders. Facilitate collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders to ensure project success. Represent NDS at relevant forums, meetings, and events. Develop strong working relationships within own team, with other NDS teams and with key external stakeholders, including WorkWell Team Prepare an array of communications collaterals to support the WorkWell Communities of Practice project. Build the skills and capabilities of self and any direct reports through learning and development activities Contribute to the achievement of the NDS strategy through participation in special initiatives and programs Make improvements in WorkWell Communities of Practice project to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency Limited travel across the state Skills And Experiences Skills & Experience Proven experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing demands. High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and present to diverse audiences. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain networks with a range of stakeholders and publicly present on workforce opportunities. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience in the disability services or occupational health, and safety. An understanding of psychosocial safety is desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools/software. Relevant qualifications in project management, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proactive and self-driven. Is resilient and adaptable to change course of action as needed. Ability to travel independently. A tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
