Goombungee Family Practice is seeking an experienced Senior Receptionist/Practice Manager. Our small community clinic is serviced by one Doctor, One Registered Nurse, Receptionist & Practice Manager. We are seeking a candidate with a minimum 3 years experience. Practice Manager experience looked upon favourably but is not essential, however a willingness to learn is desired. Award rates apply under the Health Professionals and Support Service Award based on knowledge and experience. A 3-6 month probation period would apply. Work type – Casual - 3 days per week minimum with potential for up to 5 days pending requirements of both parties. No weekend work required. Standard hours of 8:15am – 5:15pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 8:15am – 3:15pm Wednesdays. Some overtime may be required. The successful candidate will possess the following: - Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Build positive rapport with patients and work colleagues - Working autonomously to ensure continual functioning of the business - Positive attitude - An ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations Desired Experience & Attributes: - General Practice/Medical experience or similar role - Knowledge of Best Practice software (or similar essential) - Xero, HotDoc & WorkCover knowledge (desired but not essential) - Managing appointment schedule for continuous flow - Triaging patients with emergent needs - Empathy & compassion towards patients - Prioritising tasks - Self-motivated & able to demonstrate initiative - Confidence in both written and verbal communication skills - Ongoing personal development If you are a passionate, experienced Medical Receptionist/Practice Manager who would like to be part of a thriving small community practice, we encourage you to apply now.
