The opportunity: Principal Consultant - Contaminated Land Management in Brisbane, Queensland. This role offers leadership on complex, high-profile projects across urban, industrial, infrastructure, and resource sectors. We are seeking a technically skilled professional with strong project leadership and client engagement capabilities to drive sustainable land contamination, remediation, and environmental risk management outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations (PSI/DSI) Develop and implement Remediation Action Plans (RAPs) and Site Management Plans (SMPs) Undertake soil, groundwater, and vapour assessments Provide waste classification and disposal guidance Conduct human health and ecological risk assessments Engage with regulators, site auditors, and key stakeholders Prepare high-quality, technically sound reports aligned with NEPM (ASC) and relevant state regulations About You You are a passionate and driven environmental professional committed to environmental best practice, client outcomes, and team collaboration. You will ideally bring A tertiary qualification in environmental science, geology, environmental engineering, hydrogeology, or related field Strong working knowledge of QLD EPA requirements and the NEPM / ASC NEPM frameworks Professional chartership or eligibility (e.g., CEnvP Site Contamination Specialist, CPEng) Experience mentoring junior staff and managing complex projects Excellent reporting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with a practical and solutions-focused mindset Understanding of contaminated land legislation and compliance frameworks Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into client-focused advice A current Australian driver’s license and willingness to travel to regional and remote sites A meticulous, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to quality and safety in fieldwork A collaborative and proactive mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Why join us?
