Role Overview: Business Chamber Queensland is looking for an experienced, strategic and commercially minded Program leader with a passion for ESG, empowering Queensland businesses to compete on the world stage, and driving positive impact for the economy, community and climate. This pivotal newly created role has strategic oversight across the existing sustainability program portfolio including Workforce Evolve, and internationally recognised ecoBiz Program to ensure efficient and effective budget management, contract execution, deliverable quality, stakeholder management and governance and reporting outcomes. The Head of Programs will be instrumental in realising opportunities to optimise and grow the program portfolio through collaboration with the General Manager, Sustainable Business. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the development and delivery of existing programs. Manage cross-program consistency, delivery efficiencies, and resourcing. Strengthen key partnerships and identify opportunities for partnership expansion. Inform and guide strategy, including program improvement, innovation, expansion and commercialisation. Inspire and influence diverse stakeholders across the community, Government and industry to deliver meaningful change. Strategic thinker and problem-solver, combined with strong emotional intelligence, adaptability, and resilience in dynamic environments Champion a supportive, collaborative, and engaging workplace culture. You will have: Tertiary qualification in a sustainability-related discipline or business-related field in a professional capacity Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with team management, program management and strategy oversight A strong understanding of business sustainability and ESG-specific knowledge including trends, and regulatory environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights to inform strategic decisions. Financial and contract management acumen, with experience managing Government grants or projects highly valued Leadership and team management experience with demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
