About the role The Service Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of Information Technology services to ensure agreed service level targets are met. The role is responsible for improving the visibility, performance and reliability of services by driving process owners, technology owners, project managers and operations teams across ITSS and suppliers to deliver high quality IT services. The key accountabilities for this role, include the following: Provide assistance and leadership associated with the planning, design, documentation and improvement of service availability, including the investigation of all breaches of availability targets and service non-availability. Take responsibility for ensuring industry best practice has been applied to the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance and effective use of IT services and monitors their performance. Ensures that agreed service levels are met and all relevant procedures are adhered to. Liaise with technical design and project managers to ensure correct products are produced, in a timely fashion. Evaluates the quality of project outputs against agreed acceptance criteria. What we’re looking for Significant experience in the incident management space, particularly major incident management with a strong ITIL background. Significant experience in a similar role, managing the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of IT services in a multi sourced environment. Substantial IT systems management and industry experience Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with strong customer and stakeholder focus.
