Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer within our Geotechnical Engineering team, you will play a vital role in the coordination and communication of data to ensure the safe execution of mining activities for our Leonora underground and open pit operations, including the following: Effective monitoring and reporting of ground support QA/QC requirements such as; storage and installation quality of rock bolts, cables, mesh and fibrecrete; auditing of ground support installations, fibrecrete batching, delivery and application; QA/QC of fibrecrete and grout strength testing and assisting with pull testing of ground support by suppliers Assisting the Geotechnical Engineers in the maintenance of instrumentation programs, including fault finding and hardware replacement Managing stock levels and conduct installations of seismic sensors and other geotechnical instrumentation Taking an active role in contributing to and executing continuous improvement projects This is a permanent full-time opportunity on a Lifestyle 8 days on, 6 days off roster Fly-In Fly-Out, Drive-in Drive-out, or Residential basis, the choice is yours! Flight time from Perth, is just over 1 hour to Leonora then a short bus ride to your accommodation in town and a 10-minute drive to our Gwalia mine site. About You: You’ll be a collaborative, curious, and motivated individual who loves to be out in the field and ‘on the go’. You’ll have a keen interest in Technical services and a desire to be part of an innovative and forward thinking team, focused on efficiency, safety and operational excellence.
