ConsultANZ is seeking an Engineering Manager to join a landmark infrastructure project in New Zealand’s Canterbury Region. You will play a pivotal role in project delivery, bringing technical expertise and leadership capability to a high-value, complex development that will have a lasting impact on the region’s future. Main Duties: Lead the development and implementation of the Project Quality Control Plan Manage all aspects of quality assurance and inspection/testing processes (ITPs) Ensure that QA closeout and project handover are delivered ahead of schedule Provide expert input on technical RFIs, subcontractor coordination, and engineering issues Support construction and project managers in managing unforeseen conditions and technical claims Oversee survey coordination, manage NCRs, and drive continuous improvement across the QA framework Review subcontractor ITPs and ensure full compliance with client and project expectations Requirements: A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical) Preferably a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation 15 years of industry experience, with a strong background in civil infrastructure delivery A proven ability to lead quality systems and provide geotechnical leadership on large-scale projects Key strengths we’re looking for Skilled in design coordination, value engineering, and quality control & testing Deep familiarity with New Zealand Standards and regulatory requirements Geotechnical expertise with a solid understanding of ground engineering and risk Confident working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment across contractors, designers, and project stakeholders Benefits: Competitive salary with long-term career development opportunities.
