Job Description Mid-Senior Analytics Engineer (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, AWS) Sydney (preferred) | Open to Melbourne Permanent Role | Hybrid (2 days WFO, 3 days WFH) $150,000 super excellent shares & benefits About the Role: Join a fast-growing, product-led scale-up reshaping the consumer experience in the wellness space. With a major product launch ahead and multiple new data sources coming online, they’re looking for a Mid-Senior Analytics Engineer to take their modern data stack to the next level. You’ll work closely with the Staff Data Engineer and Analytics team, designing clean, reliable transformation flows in dbt that empower analysts to answer business questions with confidence. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be building out orchestration, CI/CD, and validation strategies while scaling pipelines for production use. What you’ll be doing: Designing, optimising, and scaling data pipelines in Airflow , orchestrating ingestion and dbt transformations in production. Structuring dbt projects and layers (staging, intermediate, marts) to ensure clarity, reusability, and business alignment. Embedding validation checks at key points in the DAG to monitor data quality and reliability. Building data models in Snowflake dbt to support marketing, growth, subscription, customer, and demographic analytics. Writing SQL and Python to deliver production-ready transformations, optimisations, and automation. Collaborating with Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams to ensure data is both technically robust and business-relevant. Contributing to CI/CD and deployment strategies , making sure pipelines are tested, versioned, and easily scalable. We’re looking for: Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer, ideally in a high-growth environment. Hands-on expertise with dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, SQL, and Python . Ability to design pipelines using software engineering best practices (testing, version control, automation). Understanding of data quality validation frameworks and how to embed them in orchestration. Strong communication skills – able to bridge technical detail with business outcomes.
