About The Role The Psychologist (Senior – Paediatric) position provides delivery of high level professional and clinical psychology services as a member of a multidisciplinary team, within the West Moreton Health (WMH) Child Development community- based service. Provide professional leadership and assist in the coordination of psychology and multidisciplinary child development service delivery. Contribute to education and training in the field of child development, including professional supervision and mentoring. Actively participate in service development/ improvement activities within the Child Development Program. About You Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrated high level clinical experience and knowledge in paediatric developmental psychology, systems theory and developmental disability (including neurodevelopmental and functional aspects of behaviour, social awareness, emotional awareness, cognition, learning, attention, executive functions, and trauma) and the demonstrated ability to apply that to transdisciplinary assessment and intervention approaches within a family centred practice framework; High level of interpersonal, verbal and written skills in application to effective communication with child and youth clients and their families, multi-disciplinary team members and other key stakeholders.Commitment to continually develop practice knowledge, skills and expertise, through professional development, reflective practice initiatives and/or research activities.Honesty, integrity, and respect for all patients, carers, and staff.
