The key duties of the position include The Role The J78 Exercise & Administration Support Team co-ordinate and manage exercise support activities for the J7 including booking arrangements for domestic and international travel and movements. Prepare, vet and facilitate documentation for Partner Nation representatives to be able to enter Australia and participate in exercise planning and conduct. Leverage stakeholder relationships, knowledge and best practice, to arrange Base and facility access for Partner Nations. Work independently and as part of a team. Exercise initiative and judgement in the interpretation and execution of foreign visit legislation and the application of security practices and procedures. Lead and manage a team, set work priorities and manage workflows. Provide coaching and leadership to team members, build capability through continuous learning, innovation, and quality improvement. Develop and maintain a high level of stakeholder engagement and provide expertise on complex issues. Identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve J7 and Defence outcomes. About our Team The Capability Analyst Foreign Visits position is within the J78, a part of HQJOC based at HMAS Harman in Canberra. The J78 provide administrative and life support to planning and execution of Joint Capability training Exercises such as Talisman Sabre. The team facilitate planning conferences and Exercise conduct by providing accommodation, security, Base Access, meals, travel, visas and foreign participant ingress.
